Atlas has not even reached out to me despite the bad reviews and notification of my complete displeasure. Stay away from them. Others I've spoken with also said what a terrible company they are.

Original review Aug 12, 2019
Said they added refrigerant to my AC. It didn't last but a few hours. They charged me full price and refused to do any credits nor allow me to speak to a manager. A scam at their best.

called for service.....tried to explain my situation and the manager hung up on me....they installed my unit 1 year ago....it was not operating properly from the beginning.....i was told to find another contractor...not very happy...would not recommend Atlas for any installation or repair. I now need to find another company in an attempt to solve my problem...which is ....a very, very loud unit. The loud flow of air is disruptive to daily routines and we find the nights difficult to sleep because of the noise. I believe we were sold a unit that is either defective or to large for our house. Will continue to seek relief from a more professional and competent company.

ATLAS DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THIER WORKMANSHIP.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
ATLAS DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THIER WORKMANSHIP. Atlas replaced our heating and cooling system due to a problem with pump on exterior of home. Our system was 18 years old. They were quick, convenient, and accommodating, installing on a very hot 24 hr period. Very pleased with the system and installation. A while had gone by and we noticed that we had began to have a rodent problem (Mice). We called out an exterminator to help us with this problem and find the root of this issue. We built this home ne 18 years ago and have never had a problem with mice...One of the jobs of this exterminator is to locate the entry point and resolve the problem. It was determined that our problem was that, when Atlas completed the installation of our system, they had never sealed up around the replaced line from the exterior pump to the interior unit. Our exterminator placed Stuffit around the large opening and told us we needed to seal it. We called Atlas and they sent a technician out Immediately to seal the pipe within the hour. Once again we were pleased with response. Now we are left with clean up and removal of our little guests. After a call into the company we spoke to one of the owners and explained. He sent us to their insurance co. whom now denied a claim. Mice crap and urine all over our basement area which carries a whole other issue of diseases and uncleanliness. We have been unable to use our basement due to this infestation and fear of the airborne possibilities. After another attempt to contact the owner after claim denial. he will not return our call. We are now left with this horrific mess. Due to their negligence to seal up a simple pipe ( Replaced by Atlas) that went through the exterior wall. Have some integrity Todd...

I would not recommend Atlas to anyone I know. They only up sell with high pressure to make you think that replacement would be a quicker fix.

I suggest getting that second opinion. Read these reviews

DIRTY THIEVES

Installed bottom of line boiler unit knowing it has very low shelf life. Gummerman, The owner is the nastiest and most disrespectful "business" owner I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

The are highway robbers, I was explaining to Jodi Gummerman what was going on w/ mt gas hot water heater. She said to me. " What you'e saying makes no sense" She refused to even have a tech cone out. The automatic unit is triggering on and off, has to be 20 times per hour.

The unit is on, the thermostats are both off, but pilot does not ignite. THIS COMPANY SHOULD HAVE A CLASS ACTION SUIT FILED AGAINST THEM WITHOUT PAUSE.

Very pleased with service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I called Atlas on the hottest day of the year when my air conditioning broke. Mark was able to come out within hours after we had called.

He spent his time going over the whole system and was very thorough in his diagnosis. He took pictures of inside of the heater and air conditioner where we could not see to show us everything. We never did any maintenance on the system and it was very old. He went over all of our options and we opted to replace it.

They came out the same day to replace it for a very reasonable price.

My husband and I are very happy with the service and the installation of the new system. Would definitely reccomend.

Atlas Heating And Cooling - Air Conditioner Installation Review

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Had water in my basement and I called Atlas since they installed my AC unit. It ended up being my water heater. They quoted me $3500! That seemed way too high. As soon as I questioned the number they came down to $3000. I kicked them out and called around. I got a 75 gallon gas water heater installed for $2000 and the unit was way better then the cheep Home Depot one that Atlas was going to use. They are scam artists!!

Same story at all the rest - 2016

If you've read the other notes you'll recognize this. Needed service... I called the number on my unit (guys I knew). Atlas answered. I said I guess you guys got bought, sure come out. I wasn't in the mood to search around. First mistake. Guy arrives says "Really nice house" and looks at unit in basement. One look at blower unit, no tools, "This things is way too old, it's rusting out, you need a new blower, and a coil, and you SHOULD do the compressor b/c it saves to do it all at once. $7,200." I balk and let him leave after paying him the $89 diagnostic fee. Call a friend of a friend. He comes out. Checks everything. Finds the issue (he almost missed it but he didn't). A clogged nozzle which he cleared with an allen wrench. Closed the unit and left. No charge.

DO NOT USE. THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Our AC broke down on Friday just prior to a record breaking heat spell in the Northeast. Unfortunately we called Atlas who promptly send a guy named Bob to check out our unit. According to Bob there were multiple problems with our unit (even though it is only two years old) and told us he "had to order parts" before being to fix and that those parts would arrive until next week. Then he mentioned that even with those parts, he wasn't sure if the Compressor also didn't have a problem, so why not just buy a new AC from them? We found it ridiculous he would be suggesting we purchase a new unit even though our unit is still under warranty. We smelled a rat and sent him away paying the $89 service fee. Still we had to endure a weekend from *** until another repairman could come early next week. Finally a different repairman came and found the problem was just he capacitor and fixed the unit in less than an hour! There is another review here from someone else who experienced something similar. DO NOT USE THIS PEOPLE!

My ac was having some condensation on the side of the . I called Atlas and they sent a guy named John. He said my condenser needs to be replaced and the coil does not match and also needed to be replaced. He also said that the heater, which was working fine, was old and also needed to be replaced. He did not even open the cover of the coil to be sure that it was not clogged up. He was insisting that if he was going to do the job, all 3 needs to be replaced. This was going to cost me $6000. I said I was going to think about it. I was charged $89 for the useless visit. I called up another HVAC company for a second opinion. He said that my AC was working properly and it was just clogged. He fixed everything and it only cost me $110

Wanted double the price for a repair on my ac fan and motor.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Well, Atlas installed a new Trane heating and ac system in my home eight years ago, in 2007. Six years ago, I needed a new panel. That was covered under parts, but labor was over 600.00 For some reason I hadn't learned my lesson. This summer 2015 I called them back. The part would be 1558.00 but they could do it for 1300.00. This would be for a new fan and motor, but they started giving me quotes for a new system, right away. The following day I called back and the price was reduced to 975.00, with more, still better prices for a new system. I balked and made some phone calls. Engel did the job for 644.00 with brand new parts. When I told Atlas that I had a better price, they responded that they don't use used parts. Obviously they raised their price to tempt me with a new system. I find this unethical.

If you are referring to atlas heating and cooling on feasterville then I'm sorry....I worked for them...they are two brothers that own the business and they are rich *** bags. They rip people off and take advantage of people.

Thank you for sharing your concern. We certainly appreciate your feedback.

Our company uses original manufacturers' parts. We will not put in "after market" parts. Of course those parts are less expensive.

In the year 2007, your system may have been R22.

EPA doesn't allow manufacturers to produce this freon (R22) nor can the current approved freon (410A) be used in your system.

The only reason why our company gave you a price for a new system would be to make you aware of this problem. Thank you for sharing your feedback and we apologize for your concern.

That will be 1300.00 for a new fan and motor on your 8 year old Trane AC

In 2007, I hired Atlas Heating and Cooling, Inc. to install new Trane central heating and air conditioning units. Two years later, my heating panel shorted out. I was told that the part was covered, but not the labor, which came in at over 600.00. I sensed then that something was not right with this company, and I stopped using them to service my units. However, their 24 hour sticker was still on the AC, so I called them again, here in July, 2015. This time I was told that I needed a new fan and motor on my AC unit. The price, 1558. I was immediately quoted on the prices of new units. The parts would take days, but a new system could be done immediately. When I questioned the price, it came down to 1300. The following day I called the office and was told 975.00, bottom dollar, and again offered lower prices on an new unit. I called around and found a 645.00 price, installed. Good bye to Atlas, good riddance.

Our 12-year-old air-conditioning unit developed a leak and stopped working. The receptionist suggested various tests to narrow down the problem and make better use of their tech's time. When the teck came, he knew exactly where to start looking. Atlas installed a replacement unit the next day for a very reasonable price. Great phone service from all 4 office staff I spoke to. Great install from their 2 workmen. I have worked with Atlas Heating and Cooling since 2003 when I got the original air-conditioning unit installed. Overall, they are first class. Always get a 2nd opinion.

I wanted to write a review from my experience on 1-12-15 and just read the most recent review and am shocked. I also had the exact same experience..EXACTLY. Gentleman came out, stated I needed a new motor and a new pump. My heater is also only 6 years old. The one I had prior to this one was over 20 yrs. old before it went. Anyway, I was told would be a few thousand dollars. As he went out to get his book I saw a number on side of heater and called it just to see if anything was under warrenty. The company I called,(this was also the company that installed the heater) told me he doubted what I was being told was true. I asked him if he could come over and he said Yes, at 8pm also. I let the guy go from Atlas and thanked him for coming but told him if I was going to get a repair I would go with the company that installed it. After repairing heating, replacing motor and cleaning oil filter, I was billed 295.00 from company that installed heater originally. He told me I was absolutely being royally ripped off. I did call the next day to complain about this obvious rip off and they didn't want to hear it.  Do NOT EVER USE or TRUST this company.  It says in their ad they have been around for 100 years.  I doubt that. Not with current owners anyway.  I also felt I shouldn't of had to pay 89.00 to be lied to. If the gentleman above does get the corporate office I'd love to know about it.

Thank you for voicing your concern with us. We would gladly refund your $89, however to do a true oil cleaning our price is $275 which includes all the necessary parts and oil test.

In "Bottom Line" magazine (which has been around for 35 years) this is the standard price or higher for any oil cleaning. There are many companies that deliver oil and can do it for less because of such.

Obviously we can't install a motor and cleaning for as low as the other company. We apologize for your experience and glad we were able to explain the information above to you.
